MUM! I’m Famous

Name In A Book has been specialising in creating personalised story books for children and adults since the year 2000. Here, Flying Start takes a closer look at this unique and individual gift idea and the story behind its evolution.

After searching franchise businesses on the internet, Graham Warren found an ideal solution for his business needs and what followed was the creation of personalised Stories, right from his home in Epsom.  Can you imagine starring in a real life book as a child? “MUM! I’m Famous!” is the kind of excitement that Graham’s books bring into families nationwide.

Not only a novelty gift, a personalised story book can encourage the joy of reading as children read adventures starring themselves in their hometown with up to three of their friends. They will want to read them over and over again!

Graham told Flying Start “Once our customer base was large enough, we were able to further develop the company by adding new book titles. We now offer a wide selection of titles to suit all and find our main customers are Grandparents and Aunties. We have also noticed that more and more pre-school nurseries are purchasing the books as leaving gifts. Although the books are primarily for children, they also make unique gifts for adults as spoofs.”

One of the most significant moments for Personalised Stories was when the books made an appearance on Today with Des and Mel and This Morning TV shows.

On entering the Personalised Stories website, you will find a fantastic selection of titles aimed fairly at boys and girls. You will also find a selection of story books featuring licensed characters such as Batman, Garfield, Sesame Street, X-Men and more. Graham added:  “Story books featuring characters such as Batman become very popular when films are released.”
